Estepona, with its delightful old world charm, has retained much of its Spanish character. There are beaches, a marina and a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops.

You will find variety and quality, and at lower prices than some of the neighbouring more international "movie star" resorts. Benahavais (pronounced Benavis) is a delightful unspoiled hilltop top town, only 10 minutes away.

Wander through the streets and cafes and small private shops and enjoy the spectacular views from this very Spanish village. Prices in restaurants vary from very low to quite high so check out what suits.

Beaches
The coast is one long series of fine sandy beaches, with frequent access points off the coastal road. The closest is La Prura beach (just a two minute drive).

Our personal favourite is La Laguna beach, which is the next beach along towards Estapona, and is a five minute drive. La Laguna is in a beautiful setting with 2 or 3 restaurants, a small shopping mall and a couple of beach huts and a swimming pool, in a “lagoon” type setting.

Another favourite, La Playa del, just past the marina, is set in a beautiful cove, is quite natural, with just a couple of beach huts and is superb for windsurfing. You can take your car on to the beach, play volleyball, and barbeque.
